Microsoft — Atlanta AI Campus (Fayetteville)
Fayetteville, Georgia, United States
Microsoft’s Fayetteville campus, part of the “Silicon Orchard” expansion, is a flagship AI site expected to go live in early 2026. The facility has an initial capacity of 350 MW, specifically designed to house over 150,000 NVIDIA GPUs for training and inference. A second phase is already under construction to double the campus capacity to 700 MW by 2027. The site utilizes a closed-loop water cooling system that is significantly more efficient than traditional methods, aligning with Microsoft’s “zero water waste” goals. This campus serves as a critical southern node for Azure OpenAI services, providing the high-performance compute required for regional enterprise and government AI applications.
