Microsoft — Thailand AI Data Center

Announced in May 2024 by CEO Satya Nadella, this project marks Microsoft’s first data center region in Thailand. Located in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), the infrastructure is designed to provide hyperscale cloud and AI services to meet growing regional demand. The investment aligns with the Thai government’s “Ignite Thailand” vision, which aims to transform the country into a digital economy hub. As part of the initiative, Microsoft has committed to providing AI training for over 100,000 people in Thailand, including specific programs for the tourism and developer sectors.
