Batelco & Qareeb — Bahrain Edge AI Data Center

Launched in January 2026, Bahrain’s first Edge AI-ready data center is a strategic partnership between Batelco (under the Beyon brand) and Qareeb Data Centers. Located within the 140,000-square-meter Beyon “Data Oasis” in Southern Bahrain, the facility provides 6,000 square meters of scalable colocation space. It is specifically designed for low-latency AI inference and high-performance workloads, serving as a regional hub for the GCC market. The facility benefits from Bahrain’s extensive subsea cable connectivity, including the 2Africa Pearls system, which provides massive international bandwidth for global AI services.
