The Qai-Brookfield AI Compute Center is the flagship project of a $20 billion joint venture between Qatar’s state AI company, Qai (a subsidiary of the Qatar Investment Authority), and Brookfield Asset Management. Announced in late 2025, the high-performance GPU compute center in Doha is designed to serve as the "third pillar" of Gulf AI infrastructure. The facility will provide advanced GPU clusters for regional government and business AI model training and inference. The partnership also includes the co-development of AI-ready data centers in select international markets, leveraging Qatar’s massive sovereign capital and Brookfield’s global infrastructure expertise.
