Alibaba Cloud — Singapore AI Region

Alibaba Cloud’s Singapore region is the company’s largest international market and primary hub for AI services across Southeast Asia and international markets (outside China). The infrastructure serves enterprise customers across ASEAN, Australia, and the Middle East that need cloud AI services outside Chinese jurisdiction. Singapore hosts Alibaba’s Qwen (通义千问) inference endpoints for international users — Qwen2.5 became widely used globally in 2024 as a powerful open-weight model. Alibaba Cloud has multiple Singapore data center facilities and operates with a focus on ASEAN enterprises, e-commerce AI (Shopee, Lazada), and financial services. The Singapore presence also supports Alibaba’s international logistics and Lazada e-commerce operations with AI-driven demand forecasting, fraud detection, and recommendation systems.
