Meta — Montgomery AI Expansion

Meta is adding two massive buildings to its Montgomery, Alabama campus, bringing the total investment at the site to $1.5 billion. The expansion provides an additional 227 MW of clean-powered capacity, specifically optimized for high-density AI workloads. The facility is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2026. To support the increased power demand, Meta has secured significant renewable energy agreements with local utilities. The Montgomery site is a critical part of Meta’s Southeastern U.S. infrastructure, providing the specialized compute and cooling required for real-time AI inference and localized model training.
