Equinix is expanding its African footprint with the construction of LG3, its first purpose-built International Business Exchange™ (IBX) data center in Lagos, Nigeria. Representing a $22 million initial investment, the facility is scheduled to open in Q1 2026 with an initial capacity of 1 megawatt (MW). LG3 is part of Equinix’s broader $100 million regional expansion strategy, aimed at providing high-performance colocation and interconnection services to support Nigeria’s growing digital economy and the localized deployment of AI and cloud services.
