Egypt’s Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has opened a 23,500 square meter Tier III data center complex outs ide Cairo to consolidate national databases and unlock AI-enabled public services. Built with contributions from more than 15 lo cal and international vendors, the hub hosts the government’s core cloud stack, provides disaster recovery for critical systems, and supplies computing resources for ministries deploying analytics, digital ID platforms, and machine learning for policy plan ning. The flagship facility forms the backbone of Egypt’s digital transformation and will pair with a forthcoming disaster recov ery site in the New Administrative Capital to ensure continuity.
