Abu Dhabi’s G42 is developing a 10-square-mile AI campus dubbed “Stargate” that will host U.S. hyperscalers delivering frontier model training and sovereign cloud services across the Middle East. The first 200 megawatts of the 5 GW build-out are slated to go live by 2025–2026, backed by partnerships with OpenAI, NVIDIA, Cisco, Oracle, and other American technology companies. The c ampus will draw on the UAE’s nuclear, solar, and gas resources to guarantee low-carbon baseload power while enabling latency-sen sitive AI services for nearly half of the world’s population reachable from Abu Dhabi.
