Scheduled for completion in Q2 2026, the facility is designed with a total IT capacity of 6.4 megawatts (MW), specifically targeting the high-density cooling and power requirements of modern cloud and AI workloads. MD5 represents Equinix’s continued expansion in the Iberian Peninsula, offering low-latency interconnection to a dense ecosystem of network and cloud providers and serving as a key node for data traffic between Europe, Africa, and Latin America.
